Redeemed Project Radio is an online radio station that will provide solid, biblical content through the means of music (mainly Christian Hip-Hop), Podcast Shows, Sermons, Teachings, Scripture Reading and much more from a Reformed perspective.

Launch Date: October 31st, 2020 (Reformation Day)

Our team, as of now, consists of 7 online ministries and partners.
Saints Edified – Arturo Hurtado.
Reformed Raza – Martin Velazquez, Justin Corona and Victor Ricardo Velazquez
For Christ Y Cultura Podcast – Jonathan Gonzalez
Reformed Scratches Podcast – Michael Fierros
Repent & Believe Studios – Haps Addison
Regenerit – Nelson Del Valle
Urban Reformed Podcast –  Ricky Roldan

Our aim is to edify and encourage all Christian believers, but will have a heavy focus on urban communities, minorities, young people, and young families. We don’t want to hide the fact that our theology is Reformed – the majority of content will make that very clear, including the music we play. However, we want to carry that same energy when it comes to the culture(s) God blessed us with. We happen to be Christians who grew up in urban communities and/or minority households in the US, which can be seen in how we talk, what we listen to, how we act and etc… We don’t plan on hiding our theology as much as we don’t plan on hiding our culture. This is what makes Redeemed Project Radio what it is!

Our Goal of $3,500
Many of us are unaware of the costs to run an online radio station, so we decided to break it down for those of you who are wondering. Our goal is to have enough funding for the first year, which is estimated around $2,000 (+ $1,500 for app).  We will have milestones that will enable us to move Redeemed Project Radio forward.  This is the breakdown:

Music Licensing – We will use Live365’s lowest broadcasting tier that will cost us $59.99/month or about $720/annually. This include ads, which we would like to move away from in the future when we have more support. All our licensing will be covered through Live365.

Hosting/Broadcasting Software – We will use Airtime Pro’s Starter Plan, which will be 39.95/month or about $480/annually. (A discount is offered if we pay for the whole year right away.)

Website – We plan on launching a website for Redeemed Project Radio as soon as possible. Purchasing the domain name, hosting, security add-ons (SSL certificate, backup storage, etc..) and building the website is estimated to cost around $300-$400.

App – We would like to eventually create an app for the radio station (similar to the “RefNet” app). This could cost anywhere between $800 – $1,500.

Other expenses include buying music from artists/labels, improving quality of sound with better equipment, product costs for merchandise, paid services for the station (promos, voice-overs, etc.)  and much more.  As you can see, the costs and expenses of running a station like this will easily reach $3,500. This is why we depend on monetization with ads and generous donations from our supporters. Lord willing, we will have merchandise to help with the costs as well.

Milestones:
“Coverage” includes licensing through Live365 and AirTime Pro plans.

$500  – At least 3 months of coverage. Domain name and hosting for website will be provided.

$1,000 – At least 6 months of coverage.  Redeemed Project Radio website. Professional-sounding promos/ads. Large music selection.

$1,500 – At least 9 months of coverage (and all of the above).

$2,000 – 12 months of coverage (and all of the above).  Fully functioning store on website.

$3,500 – The additional $1,500 will provide for an app.

If you have any questions on the breakdown, you can reach Arturo at [email redacted]. This can (and more than likely will) be updated as additional costs come up or if something is significantly cheaper than expected.
